Please keep in mind the principal criteria for the selection of Distinguished Lecturers:

Excellence in some field of magnetics. This is not limited to excellence in research, but should also recognise the important contributions of individuals in developing the applied/technical aspects of magnetics.
Excellent communication skills: The main aim is to inspire and enthuse, especially young researchers entering a career in magnetics.
The nominee should be a member of the IEEE Magnetics Society.
