This new program is for those who plan to travel to the U.S. for 90 days or less. The requisite travel authorization can be obtained online through this Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Travelers from countries not in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are still required to obtain a visa in the standard manner prior to entry into the United States.
