Members of the IEEE Magnetics Society receive electronic access to the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics (via IEEE Xplore) plus an annual CD-ROM PDF compilation. The annual dues of $20 include these benefits.
Subscriptions to the paper edition of the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics will be a separate option for $20 plus tax. When you renew your membership, you may choose to strike out the item labeled "IEEE Trans on Magnetics" and reduce the total accordingly.
A Society Affiliate is generally a non-IEEE professional who is a member of a professional Society other than IEEE who would benefit from affiliation with one of IEEE's Societies. For an annual Affiliate fee paid to IEEE plus the individual Society's membership dues they are admitted to the membership of that Society. Affiliates are not full IEEE members and are not entitled to any IEEE benefits reserved for IEEE members only. All Affiliate benefits and services derived come directly from the Society affiliated with. For each and every Society affiliated with the applicant pays a separate annual Affiliate fee plus the annual Society membership dues.
An Associate member is a member of IEEE whose educational background and or work experience are not sufficient to hold Member grade in the IEEE. They pay regular IEEE dues and receive all benefits, services and discounts of an IEEE member. They however may not hold IEEE volunteer office or vote in IEEE elections for which Member grade or higher is required. As an IEEE member they may join any of the 37 IEEE Societies for simply that Society's membership fee and receive member discounts on conference, books subscriptions, courses etc and are eligible for all IEEE financial advantage and other member benefit programs not available to affiliates or other non-IEEE members.
